Background

This Challenge was formed whilst recovering from a bad burst appendix, a time when I could not run, swim or do anything other than walk, so what walking challenges could I dream up - I know climb the highest point in each county of England

Cleeve Hill Gloucestershire - 2 September 2010

Did not get here to early evening as time spent shopping for Emms pressies, road leads up to ridge with high point looking like in amongst golf course to the south. Parked car in lane to north and set off on foot. Delightful evening and fair amount of walkers, golfers, mountain bikers etc around. Went to trig point on golf course and took shots with young lad posing, then looking further to South had some doubt which was highest point so continued first to another small hill, then to some masts further on. From this point could see the land rising further and so walked on, eventually found second trig point marking this high point so took photo, all land fell away from this point so claimed as highest point locally, later interrogation of OS map confirmed this as high point of 330m.
