Background

This Challenge was formed whilst recovering from a bad burst appendix, a time when I could not run, swim or do anything other than walk, so what walking challenges could I dream up - I know climb the highest point in each county of England

Botley Hill London - 12 Sptember 2010

Took on this high point after completing tough 10k race in Bramshill Forest, luckily this high point not expected to be too onerous. Drove to intersection of B269 and B2024 just outside Woldingham and not far from M25 and Kent high point Betsom's Hill! Having parked up and wondered down Ridge Road, found Trig Point within 5 minutes, however as not satisfied this was highest point started trek along ridge and then back via scenic footpath leading to Titsney Hall. Continued my quest in opposite directions but without any clear conclusion other than adjacent radio mast and water tower appeared to be highest by a whisker. Finally stopped at Botley Hill pub for well earned drink and rest my weary legs which after 2 hours of walking and one hour of hard running were starting to complain!
