Background

This Challenge was formed whilst recovering from a bad burst appendix, a time when I could not run, swim or do anything other than walk, so what walking challenges could I dream up - I know climb the highest point in each county of England

Beacon Hill Norfolk - 31 August 2010

Started off in seaside town of Sheringham after long drive across Norfolk and from previous Suffolk in the morning. Before setting off had ice cream on front and looked out to sea for a pleasant change to all the countryside. Climbed cliff walk to trig point on coastal path, from there could see across to Beacon Hill and reported highest point at the radio mast. Trekked across towards hill past caravan sites, church and farms before entering woods at base of hill. From here lost site of mast so found it difficult to get bearings. Wondered around going both ways along ridge before eventually coming across stone pier which I think may actually be highest point on hill. From here could see mast (below) but decided to go on to mast anyway for completeness. From here returned back down onto coastal path and eventually back to car.
